SINGAPORE, Nov. 29, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroSec, a leader in operational technology cybersecurity, announced that its CyberAssessor tool has received an official Letter of Attestation (LoA) from Bureau Veritas (BV) for assessing compliance with IACS UR E26, known as “Cyber Resilience of Ships.”

The LoA confirms the capability of MicroSec's CyberAssessor tool to evaluate compliance with the global UR E26 cybersecurity standard during both the commissioning phase and the operational life of new vessels.

The E26 standard represents a stringent cybersecurity requirement applicable to new builds starting July 1, 2024, and provides guidance for ship owners on maintaining continuous cybersecurity readiness for both new and existing fleets.

Bureau Veritas conducted a thorough evaluation of the CyberAssessor tool, confirming its effectiveness in mapping cybersecurity practices to the E26 standard. This ensures users receive accurate assessments, enabling sound cybersecurity strategy decisions.
