Vanta has announced new features aimed at improving collaboration among security and governance, risk management (GRC) teams. The updates include the introduction of team-based collaboration tools, granular user access, and a Vanta Exchange for vendor security reviews. These enhancements are designed to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes, allowing organizations to effectively manage trust.
As part of this announcement, Vanta highlights the importance of maintaining compliance to meet the growing demand from customers, investors, and suppliers for proof of compliance. The new features are set to facilitate delegation of tasks and enhance communication within teams.
“Security teams shouldn’t have to spend their time chasing down tasks,” said Jeremy Epling, Chief Product Officer of Vanta. “By improving collaboration and automating key processes, Vanta allows teams to shift their focus from manual, time-consuming work to what truly matters—building and maintaining trust.”
The new capabilities enable GRC teams to create dedicated teams within the platform, customize access to specific tasks, and set notification preferences to improve coordination across departments.
Additionally, Vanta plans to launch the Vanta Exchange in April 2025. This feature will facilitate direct collaboration between security teams and third-party vendors, streamlining the vendor security review process.
Enhanced audit tools have also been introduced, allowing customers to collaborate with auditors efficiently while maintaining control of the information shared. Auditors now have access to test source data to validate automated tests, and clients can choose their preferred auditor even if they are not on the Vanta platform.
For security questionnaire automation, the expanded product will support various formats, enabling compliance teams to respond to questionnaires more effectively, thus accelerating the sales process.
Vanta will present these features at today's virtual launch event, Vanta Delivers, and at the RSA Conference scheduled for April 28 to May 1, 2025, in San Francisco.
